After 24 months of intensive construction, VINACONEX contractor was honored with a Letter of Commendation from Korea’s Minister of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport for its exemplary work on the Hung Yen Clean Industrial Park project, a symbol of the enduring Vietnam-Korea friendship.
On November 23, 2024, VTK Hung Yen Industrial Park Investment and Development Company Limited hosted a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on the development of Clean Industrial Park II as well as report on the investment and technical infrastructure achievements of the Hung Yen Clean Industrial Park. The ceremony was attended by key leaders from Hung Yen province, representatives from Vietnamese and Korean ministries and authorities, and Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam.

Mr. Tran Quoc Van, Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment of Vietnam; Mr. Park Sang Woo, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korea; Mr. Choi Young Sam, Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam; representatives of local authorities of Hung Yen province.
Representing the project investor at the event was Mr. Han Jong Deok, General Director of VTK.
From VINACONEX, a member of the Kyeryong-Vinaconex Joint Venture, attendees included Mr. Nguyen Khac Hai, Deputy General Director of the Corporation; Mr. Lai Duc Toan, Deputy Director of the Construction Department and Permanent Deputy General Director of VINACONEX CM; Mr. Le Van Thang, Deputy Director of the Construction Department; Mr. Nguyen Quang Hop, Director of the Hung Yen Clean Industrial Park Project Management Board; along with representatives from the Corporation’s departments and the Project Management Board leadership.
At the event, Mr. Han Jong Deok, General Director of VTK, presented a report detailing the implementation results of the Hung Yen Clean Industrial Park project. The construction of its technical infrastructure, undertaken by the Kyeryong-Vinaconex Joint Venture, with VINACONEX Corporation as a key member, was highly praised for meeting international standards in quality, progress, labor safety, and industrial hygiene set by the Investor.
With the achieved results, VINACONEX Corporation was honored to receive the Letter of Commendation from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korea for the unwavering commitment and exceptional contributions to the market expansion and international development of Korean enterprises, as well as its role in developing the national economy.
During the event, delegates planted a commemorative tree to mark this significant milestone of the Hung Yen Clean Industrial Park Technical Infrastructure Investment Project.
Letter of commendation:
The Hung Yen Clean Industrial Park project is a joint venture between Vietnam and Korea. The Korean side consists of a joint venture of investors (holding 75% of the capital), including the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) and the Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation (KIND). The Vietnamese side is TDH Ecoland Urban Development and Investment Joint Stock Company, a member of the Ecopark Group.
According to the signed contract, the KYERYONG - VINACONEX joint venture is responsible for the infrastructure package of the Hung Yen Clean Industrial Park. This package is valued at VND 1,060 billion and includes the following components: land leveling, roads, water supply and drainage, lighting, telecommunications, wastewater treatment, power station, and fire protection. The project is set to be implemented over a 24-month period, with completion expected in 2024. |
