Leaders of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, along with delegates and project representatives, performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony and unveiled the commemorative plaque for the Phu Thu Interchange and its connecting road located in Tien Hiep Commune, Phu Ly City (formerly), now part of Ha Nam Ward. Representing the contractor, Mr. Nguyen Huu Toi, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of VINACONEX, attended and participated in the inauguration ceremony.
The Phu Thu Interchange was designed and constructed as a three-level interchange, directly connecting to Ring Roads No. 4 and No. 5, as well as local transport routes. The project has a total investment of nearly VND 1,400 billion from the provincial budget. Construction commenced in May 2023 and was completed on schedule, marking one of Ninh Binh Province’s key infrastructure projects. It demonstrates the determination and joint effort of the entire political system in implementing the province’s urban, transportation, and socio-economic development plans.

In the address at the ceremony, provincial leaders emphasized that the Phu Thu Interchange and its connecting route are not merely transportation works, but also a symbol of aspiration and progress, reflecting Ninh Binh’s determination to become a dynamic development hub in both the Red River Delta region and the nation as a whole.

Overview of Phu Thu Interchange - a VND 1,400 billion flagship transportation project, features a 480-meter underpass, a three-level roundabout, and a modern 6-lane system, giving the local transport network a new and modern face.
The project holds strategic importance in synchronizing the national transportation network, aligning with both the Capital Region Master Plan and Ninh Binh’s provincial planning. Once operational, it will significantly enhance interregional connectivity, shorten travel time between Ninh Binh and neighboring provinces, and open new growth corridors for the northern part of the province. That also serves as a major driver of regional development, boosting key economic sectors such as education and training, high-tech industry, logistics, eco-tourism, and spiritual tourism.
Phu Thu Interchange - a key traffic project of Ninh Binh province, with a total investment of VND 1,400 billion, not only has the most modern scale but also plays an important role in reducing traffic congestion and promoting interregional connectivity.This project helps promote the socio-economic development of Ha Nam province and the Red River Delta economic region.
Once operational, the Phu Thu Interchange will play a vital role in reducing traffic congestion, improving urban mobility, attracting investment for new industrial zones and urban areas while improving the quality of life for local residents.
