TECHNICAL MEETING FOR VINACONEX CUP - 2023 FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

On July 8, 2023, a technical meeting for the VINACONEX CUP - 2023 football tournament, organized by the Corporation's Trade Union, was held at the Corporation’s headquarters.

This event marks the beginning of a series of cultural and traditional activities to commemorate the significant holidays of the nation, Hanoi capital, and Construction industry. Particularly it’s dedicated to honor the 35th anniversary of VINACONEX Corporation’s establishment, welcoming event for the 14th Congress of Vietnam Construction Trade Union, term of 2023 to 2028.

The meeting had the presence of:

• Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Party Committee, President of Corporation’s Trade Union;
• Mr. Nguyen Hai Lam – Vice President of the Corporation's Trade Union - Head of the Organizing Committee;
• Mr. Hoang Thieu Bao - Secretary of the Corporation's Youth Union - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee

Together with the members of the Organizing Committee of the sports movement, the representative leaders of grassroots trade unions and captains of 12 teams participated in the tournament.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong praised the sense of responsibility of the units that eagerly signed up to participate in the 12-team tournament. He also urged the team leaders and players to continue promoting the noble sports spirit, to compete with enthusiasm and fairness achieve f high achievements, and gain the love and support of the audience. This will contribute to making the tournament a vibrant and meaningful sports activity, imbued with the cultural traditions of Vinaconex, as well as set the foundation for the success of the Corporation's 2023 sports and cultural activities.

This year's tournament has  a total of 12 teams divided into 3 groups with each group having 4 teams. The organizers held a draw to divide the table and schedule the matches, the results are as follows:

Group A : PMU 1, VINASANWA, VINASINCO, VINACONEX ITC
Group B: VINA2, NEDI2, VINACONEX MEC, Corporation’s Holding Company - VINACONEX CM
Group C: VIMECO, Ly Thai To Education System, VINACONEX 1, VIWACO

According to the schedule, the first match of VINACONEX CUP 2023 football tournament will be held on July 15, 2023 at Thai Son 2 Football Stadium at no. 2 Hoang Minh Giam Street, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi city from 3PM with 06 matches of 3 groups.

In addition to the active labor-production emulation movement taking place throughout the Corporation, cultural and sports activities, including the VINACONEX CUP 2023 football tournament, are held annually and always attract special attention from employees and fans. These activities are essential for employees throughout the Corporation to have the opportunity to connect and exchange ideas, thus contributing to improving their cultural and spiritual lives and revitalizing their labor power. This, in turn, helps the Corporation successfully fulfill its production and business tasks, as well as its assigned political duties./.
