On July 31, the Trade Union of VINACONEX Corporation convened its mid-year review conference to assess performance during the first 6 months of 2025, outline key tasks for the remainder of the year, and conduct a professional training session. Ms. Au Thi Dinh, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam National Union of Building Workers, attended the event, delivered guidance and remarks.

The conference took place shortly after VINACONEX successfully held its 6th Party Congress (2025-2030 term)Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, President of the VINACONEX Trade Union, affirmed that to successfully accomplish the tasks set for the second half of 2025, the Corporation’s Trade Union wouldl continue to focus on expanding membership, contributing to building a transparent and strong Party organization, and fostering unity across the entire system, helping the corporation expand its influence at the regional level.
In his report, he noted that during the first half of 2025, the Corporation’s Trade Union effectively fulfilled its core roles - ensuring employee welfare, safeguarding workers’ rights, and fostering stable labor relations; the average monthly income of employees exceeded VND 16 million; patriotic emulation movements were actively promoted, and labor support initiatives were strengthened, with over VND 1 billion allocated to assist employees.
The VINACONEX Trade Union has been especially active in response to Workers’ Month 2025, themed “Vietnamese Workers pioneering into a New Era.” Across project sites and construction zones, the union organized numerous activities and events on occupational safety and fire prevention. In total, the system conducted 96 safety inspections and held 121 training sessions for nearly 3,000 officers and employees.
Vice Chairwoman of Vietnam National Union of Building Workers Au Thi Dinh, requested the Corporation’s Trade Union to continue to strive to fulfill its tasks well, affirming the role and importance of the Trade Union organization in the new period.
In her remarks, Ms. Au Thi Dinh, Vice Chairwoman of Vietnam National Union of Building Workers, praised these achievements and urged VINACONEX’s Trade Union to continue innovating its methods, successfully organize congresses at all levels, contributing with the VUBW to complete the tasks in 2025.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Toi, Party Secretary and Chairman of the VINACONEX Board of Directors, underscored the trade union’s vital role as a “bridge”, contributing to the sustainable development of the Corporation.
Also speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Huu Toi called on all union levels to strengthen the vital role as a “bridge” linking the Party Committee, corporate leadership, and workers, align with corporate leadership in restructuring the union system, and adapt to new circumstances to support sustainable corporate growth.
To enhance effectiveness, the conference also included professional training sessions, updating new regulations on protecting workers’ rights and benefits, implementing trade union charters, and guidelines for organizing movements, issuing resolutions, and archiving documentation.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Vice President of the VINACONEX Trade Union, provided training on building grassroots democracy regulations and collective labor agreements, noting updates to Vietnam’s Social Insurance Law.Mr. Nguyen Hai Lam, Vice President of the VINACONEX Trade Union, presented a session on implementing the union charter, organizing union movements, issuing resolutions, and archiving.
After a productive and serious working session, the conference concluded successfully. Looking ahead, President of the VINACONEX Trade Union Nguyen Manh Cuong, emphasized that the union would continue to consolidate its organization for greater efficiency, in line with the 2025 theme: “Focus on membership growth; contribute to building a strong and transparent Party; promote democracy, innovation, and creativity in trade union activities; and harness unity across the system.”, strengthening VINACONEX and extending its reach at the regional level.
