As part of the program to assist union members and employees in difficult circumstances due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, on May 19, 2020, Mr. Vu Ngoc Chinh - Vice President of the Vietnam National Union of Building Workers and the delegation paid a visit, encouraged and presented gifts to disadvantaged employees of Vinaconex Corporation.
During the visit, Mr. Vu Ngoc Chinh - Vice President of VNUBW encouraged and shared difficulties with the corporation’s leaders in the hope that Vinaconex would soon get through the challenging time, stabilize production, and keep carrying out the practical activities, specific policies, and effective epidemic prevention measures to care for and ensure the health of union members and employees in the corporation.
On behalf of the Corporation’s Trade Union, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the Trade Union of Vinaconex expressed his gratitude for the prompt support and encouragement of VNUBW towards Vinaconex’s union members and employees.
This assistance of VNUBW for disadvantaged union members and employees not only helps them to overcome the difficulties ahead and feel secure to do their jobs but also demonstrates the important role of trade unions to society in general and Vinaconex employees' life and work in particular.
It is reported that during Workers' Month in 2020, VNUBW spent VND 2 billion to support disadvantaged workers affected by the pandemic, in which 100 gifts worth over VND 50 million were presented to Vinaconex Corporation.
